Dr. ELZUBI told Cairo News Channel: “The losses resulting from land degradation are estimated at billions of dollars annually.”
Dr Fadel ELZUBI: Land degradation is not merely an environmental issue; it is a global economic and social hemorrhage that threatens the food security and livelihoods of 1.7 billion people. Losses range from billions of dollars annually at the level of national economies to trillions of dollars in the long-term erosion of vital ecosystem services
Dr. Fadel ELZUBI told Cairo News Channel: “Trump’s tariff reductions, are they sufficient to fully restore confidence in the market?”
Dr Fadel ELZUBI: The markets reacted strongly: on one hand, American consumers felt some relief with the expectation of lower prices for essential goods such as coffee and bananas; on the other hand, companies welcomed the move after suffering losses exceeding 34 billion dollars due to previous tariffs. Yet the key question remains: are these partial reductions enough to fully restore confidence in the market, or are they merely a political step to ease internal pressures?
