ELZUBI to Al-Ghad Newspaper: Where is Digitalization in Agriculture in Jordan Heading?

Digital agriculture in Jordan cannot be measured by the number of services announced but by their equitable reach to farmers in every village; despite the launch of over 63 e‑services, weak rural infrastructure, lack of training, and exclusion of elderly and less tech‑savvy farmers have left traditional bureaucracy intact, eroding trust and widening the gap between ambition and reality. For digitalization to become a genuine reform rather than a slogan, the Ministry must move decisively from paper achievements to practical implementation—investing in rural connectivity, providing training and technical support, and involving farmers directly in service design—so that technology becomes a tool of inclusion and empowerment rather than another layer of complexity.
