According to food security expert Dr. Fadel ELZUBI, “The cost of the food basket in Jerusalem is between 25 and 35 percent higher compared to other Palestinian cities. At the same time, poor families spend more than 85 percent of their income on food and housing alone, which makes them extremely vulnerable to any further rise in prices.”
