Dr. Fadel ELZUBI carried out a field visit to several climate change hotspots in the Ramtha area, as part of the activities of the Climate Action Organization’s project implemented by the International Water Management Institute in Jordan.
The visit included meetings with representatives from various sectors of the local community to follow up on adaptation efforts to climate change impacts and to identify the key needs and challenges residents face in dealing with extreme weather events.
During the visit, Dr. ELZUBI also reviewed nature-based solutions currently being implemented to protect the environment and improve living conditions, such as reforestation, the construction of rainwater harvesting ponds, and the maintenance of watercourses.
This visit comes within the framework of national efforts to strengthen community resilience and to build local models of sustainable adaptation that contribute to supporting both environmental and food security in Jordan.
