On September 29, 2025, Amman hosted a high-level national conference titled:

“Sustainable Agriculture for Integrated Food Security through Climate-Smart Practices”

This event marked a key milestone for the “20 Dunums for Change” initiative—led by Helvetas Switzerland in partnership with NARC, and funded by the French Development Agency (AFD). The initiative is part of a broader coalition including the Norwegian Refugee Council, Jordan River Foundation, and Save the Children.

The conference brought together government leaders, international donors, civil society, and farmers to:

  • Present outcomes from the “20 Dunums” pilot
  • Discuss climate-smart agriculture challenges and opportunities
  • Launch a national dialogue on agricultural innovation
  • Build sustainable partnerships for scaling impact

Highlights included expert presentations, a multi-stakeholder policy panel, and practical recommendations for aligning agricultural strategies with climate realities.

This gathering reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment to resilient, inclusive, and knowledge-driven agricultural transformation.
