The continuation of fighting, displacement, and funding shortages is worsening humanitarian needs as security conditions deteriorate in several areas.

• North Kordofan: Insecurity around the city of El‑Obeid continues to endanger civilians and drive further displacement. Assistance is still being provided to residents in El‑Obeid, where two million liters of drinking water have been supplied to about 133,000 people, amid a severe water shortage in the city.
• West Darfur: Fighting in Sirba locality has displaced an estimated 18,000 people.
• Health services under threat: Funding gaps are limiting the scale of assistance. In Central Darfur, the recent closure of three health facilities deprived about 75,000 people of access to care.
• Funding shortfall: Only about 41% of Sudan’s humanitarian appeal for this year has been funded—around USD 1.2 billion received out of the USD 2.9 billion required.
